More bonus money from The Rock’s promoter
April 24, 2008
CUMBERLAND, Md. – The Rock, Allegany County Speedway promoter Rick Jones
has pledged more bonus money for three classes on regular weekly season nights.
The bonuses are available to Limited Late Model, Street Stock and Hobby Stock feature winners from any other speedway in their respective classes. Jones has vowed to pay Limited Late Model drivers a $400 bonus, Street Stock drivers a $200 bonus and Hobby Stock drivers a $100 bonus. The driver must have won an event in the approximate week before to be eligible at The Rock. The eligible driver must then win the feature at The Rock on that night of eligibility.
Any regular feature win from any track may count for eligibility as long as the class rules are comparable. Any competitor must still meet class rules at The Rock. Special events from other speedways do not qualify and the Clash/Challenge races and other special shows at The Rock are excluded.
The new bonuses come after Jones had already announced Hoosier and American Racer tire rebates for tires purchased through The Rock’s designated supplier. A bulk fuel purchase program from 2007 is still available. The savings is expected to offset teams’ higher fuel costs for towing.
