First look at 2010 Schedule
CUMBERLAND, Md. – The Rock - Allegany County Speedway has released its preliminary schedule of events for the 2010 season on Saturday, Jan. 9.
The schedule includes dates for the season opener, featuring the Steel Block Bandits series in a special $3,000 to win event for the Limited Late Model class. The event will have a two-day format beginning Friday, Apr. 9. Other highlights include the traditional October special events, the Big Kahuna X on Sept. 30-Oct. 2. with $10,000 as the top-prize for Super Late Models and the 8th edition of the Western Maryland Nationals featuring the Steel Block Bandits series finale with $5,000 up for grabs to the race winner.

-- Street Stocks aluminum firewall and/or floor must move 25lbs. above the bellhousing. Hobby Stocks may run medium compound tires until June 2009. See the tech page.
Noteworthy
-- The Rock welcomes Super 8 LaVale/Cumberland as the Official Host Hotel of The Rock. This hotel is located at 1301 National Highway, just minutes off of I-68, and approximately 4 miles from the Allegany County Fairgrounds. Tailgate Spots are Available!
The infield backstretch has Tailgate Spots for the 2010 Racing Season.
These spots will carry a $50 (one time) fee. All special events (ie: SLM Specials, Kahuna, Nat'ls) are included.
These spots require the purchase of a weekly pit pass -- so they are ideal for families who are traveling with race teams or fans who want to be closer to the weekly action.
